Can someone put up the address of the department that deals with these complaints at Renault, I have a fair bit of experience challenging companies over things like this and would like to try my luck. Apologies if address has previously been posted.
I had 2 helicoils on the front hub on my Fiat Coupe 20VT and one on the front hub of my Triumph. Both cars are producing a fair bit more torque/power than my Clio and the helicoils held fine. If done properly they can be stronger than the original thread.
I recently changed my old worn renault one for a pattern part one. The car sounds considerabley better, The exhaust was a perfect fit, looked a better shape than the OEM one and weighs less. Cost £40 + dlivery. It'll probably be rusted away in 2 weeks though!lol
I'm not sure about 1.2 but on the 172 its a known problem, I think it was maybe something they changed the desigm on eventually and older ones were perhaps supposed to get fixed under warranty by Reno. If you do a search theres lots of posts on it! They are not that expensive or difficult to...
Yey - That was me - don't look too closely at the paintwork or alloys or it may not look so good!lol Alloys getting refurbed at Carrick soon though I hope!
My cars got 231Bhp and 592 torques and its the red torques which are the best kind and that makes me so much better than you......... no I don't have an inferiority complex no I don't........
I had a 52 plate ZR160. Bought it new. Took it for its first service 1 year later and the head gasket had gone. Complained like f$%k and got a refund. Was a nice car to drive not quite as quick as a 172 on straights or corners but was great fun to drive none the less. If it hadn't broke or they...
For 172 Cup owners:- Wee yellow "172" badge(s) and a tube of superglue as I believe few Cups still have them as they have Lemming like habits of jumping off the car........... .
I'll tell you on Sunday cause I'm fitting a replacement tomorrow afternoon. I understand the main problem is that th eback exhaust mount is crap and often needs replaced or "modified". If you do a search for "rear exhaust mount" theres loads of posts with information on it. Other than that...
Scientifically proven!! :p
Was driving into work this morning and a 3 series beemer driver didn't give me enough space and proceeded to hit my wing mirror with his. Lets just say his wing mirror casing exploded in a shower of bits. My glass popped out and cracked and the surrounding case...
Outwith the pub chat of which is fastest the VXR is a lovely looking car and in the short test drive Ive took when shopping about at the end of last year seemed like a superb drive. Same driver would have to drag them to see which is faster I'd say though.....
Knocking was under the car just behind engine, the well known manifold hitting the sub frame problem. Theres loads of posts on it. Usually a mount related issue. All my mounts looked good so Just pulled the engine forward a few mm at the top and problem seems ok, just left with the annoying...
£15 bloody quid for radio code and is it not the best part of £20 for "Cup 172" badge with the yellow 1,7 and 2? Which have a habbit of jumping off the car. Coincidence!?!
