When i purchased the car I got 2 sets of keys, one was a spare. Checked that both worked in the ignition and both blips worked. However, ive just realised one set doesnt work in the door locks! Im guessing the key itself has worn down but it looks exactly like the other... Anyway, I was...

What? None of them are noises. I notice the first 2 on the rev meter, the difference between 500 and 1500 revs is hardly noticeable when ur stuck in traffic... it idles fine. but when i pump the brakes / dry steer it does that... i was just after an explanation.. it may be perfectly normal!

Some weird things i noticed recently: When in neutral, stopped... if i pump the brake pedal it revs up about +1000 of what it idles at! When in neutral, if i dry steer a bit it does the same. The steering wheel doesnt sit straight with the wheels. EG to go in a dead straight line, the wheel is...

Yeh dont spend the money on repairing it! you could buy another one with that money! Just break the one you have now for parts and sell it... then use the money (a few hundread quid maybe) and buy a 172 :D
