    my 182 to date

1st suggestion would be binning those w**k springs. Looks good with the black wheels though.

    Best tyres??

Conti's are good, the 200 has the 3's as standard. Still prefer the Hankook's though, that's what I'll be going for. And within the op's budget.

    lights hid or normal

The best solution is to buy some ff projector units, and fit a HID kit. If you want to keep your units, osram nightbreakers (h7 fitment). Don't bother with the fogs, they're never on.

    Jon.G's Capsicum Red Ph3

Roy's Shed - Exploding in Anthracite

Re: Roy's Shed - Esploding in Anthracite Big fan of the clio's, but wouldn't discount something like a 306. Mainly because they are much easier to work on.

    Autoglym Alloy Wheel Seal

Fair enough, but he put that it comes in a tin! I've used it before, makes next to no difference.

Roy's Shed - Exploding in Anthracite

Re: Roy's Shed - Esploding in Anthracite I don't need to slow down as much as you Roy. I'm quicker in the corners.

Roy's Shed - Exploding in Anthracite

Re: Roy's Shed - Esploding in Anthracite The red calipers on the 200 look crap, too much going on with white.

What does your iPhone Desktop look like?

Look at you getting involved in the apple chat. Buying an iPhone? I thought you only needed a phone for calling the 1900's blah blah ;).

    wanna strip it..

If you convince yourself that you need to strip it to be faster on a trackday, buy another car. Clio's aren't that quick, and will never be that quick. And that's not really the point of trackdays. If it's going to be used as a roadcar, don't bother. You'll ruin it. Pop the rear seats out...

    wanna strip it..

What will you actually gain by stripping it? f**k all.

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

I'm not in any way saying we should all buy one. I wouldn't want one as an everyday car, horrific tbh! But to have one to drive occasionally would be brilliant.

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

At the time, the 205 was head and shoulders above the competition, and hot hatches were a relatively rare breed. The 200 is one of many, and certainly doesn't stand out.
  22. ForceIndia

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

Simply not true. Even at sensible speeds, the steering and responsiveness of a 205 is special in comparison. They don't feel like they want to kill you, more that they are less forgiving. But that's due to how throttle sensitive they are, which is part of the appeal if you can drive it.
  23. ForceIndia

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

It will never have the appeal a 205 has now.
  24. ForceIndia

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

Can't compare them directly as cars, too much has changed since then. But you can say which is more fun (205), which has better performance (200) etc. My fantasy garage would have a mint 205gti in. There wouldn't be a 200.

thinking of buying a clio cup 172 - no abs worries me tho!!

My mini had discs. Great stopping power, very easy to lock up. Imo, abs is a useful thing to have. Excluding snow, I can't remember the last time I triggered abs. But I'd still rather have it than not.

Excellent point. Assuming the op lives in Siberia?
