Just out of interest, are changing both of these DIY jobs (ie, unplug old one, plug new one in?). I'm totally mechanically inept - every time I attempt to change something myself, I make a major hash of it...

The temperature gauge is going mental.

The last couple of days, the temperature gauge has been going mental. At normal road speeds (once warm), it sits in the middle of the dial, as it should. At anything above 65+ mph, itis constantly going up and down the dial to virtually reading 'cold', then back up to midway, then down again.Any...

I'm also not keen on the translucent red steering wheel and interior trim, but overall, I quite like it. I saw one in the flesh a few weeks back - the press photos really don't do it justice at all. I'm even coming round to the RS, but I really wish it was a manual :(

Just out of interest OP, where are you looking at getting the stripes redone? Mine are dog eared across the roof, and really need sorting.

Booked it in for a service at KTec, and hopefully to finally sort all my alignment/tracking issues.

I have to say I'm with you on the 'box, especially after coming from a Puma/FRP, which has one of the nicest gearboxes I've used. The Clio's is far too baulky and obstructive. Good purchase though :)

Re: how much have u sunk into ure clio I can understand all the people spending £5K plus on a Clio if they're in it for the long haul, but to spend that kind of money then sell up a year or so later? Madness.
