Not the way it works. Iirc if you have a fault which would void an mot, they can void insurance if it contributes to the accident. Not quiet sure how a door handle could cause an accident mind.
Sorry, but that's shiney car syndrome from boost-child. The Meg is not in any way shape or form ahead of the 200 in terms of build etc. Very small? They are basically the same f**king size! (imo the 200 would be a better car were it smaller!).

In general terms, it seems to depend on they type of driver you are. Those that drive b-roads etc, and do track days seem to prefer the rawer feel of the older cars. Those that don't tend to prioritise different things.
