    for reference, this is what I run length-wise Small variances from this wouldn't really matter, but I'd estmate you've got about 150mm less inlet length which makes a lot of difference

    yes, small socket and give it a tap, just make sure the spindle is moving freely and smooth afterwards (ie not over tightened) I'm sure you're right and it's just the TB all along

    it's got to be related to the inlet length and those filters then. Trumpets are very important, and those filters are not good for airflow at all. Have you got a power graph?

    unless you're doing track days, I think you'd be very happy with a far cheaper solution. I love OE spec Pagid pads and they're only £40 a set, well proven on several cars with some track use too (track days, not race). I fit loads of these now and everyone's always surprised how good they are...

    absolutely it will!! you should be able to tighten that up by tapping the circlip a little further on (the one beneath the TPS on the end of the shaft) The ICV on these are a little vague in their self centering, they take about 3 seconds to calibrate each time the car is started and if they...

    Front suspension lower ball joints

    lower balljoint replacement isn't the hub that has to be changed complete, it's the arm. They're £221 a side inc VAT. Saw one a couple of weeks ago on the same corner as a broken spring, the movement was huge!!

    there are literally dozens of better ways to spend your money on a 172 before touching the manifold, and if you have a sport cat already, just stick with that, you won't gain anything but noise from a decat.

    ok, from top to bottom: -lock pins to stop the bar falling out, updated design in the picture -anti rattle springs, hold the pads still -bar that is pushed in to stop the pads falling straight out (holes are for the lock pins)

    you might get lucky with that one. I don't use genuine as they're no better than the better quality non genuine versions. The ones I fit are £15.60 rather than the £25 each renault want. I wouldn't go near some of the crap you see on ebay for £6 a throw though

    mine averaged 22 round town and 27 on a long run. It was doing 47mpg through the specs section of the M1 at 50mph on cruise though

    Set records for a production saloon in its day. 3.6 twin turbo that did 176mph. Totally threw away the rule book. I will own one.....
