    ITB'd Road & Track Ph1 Titanium 172

Re: Ph1 172 Head should be here tomorrow :) so in preparation for the engine going back together I painted the rocker cover, breather and matched inlets. Also cleaned the sump. Got some gearbox oil for when I get the box back. I got my ITBs back from AT Power. They've had a full...

    Cage?

Mark Fish can supply and fit a Safety Devices cage. That's what I want for mine as the full interior can be retained.

    Plugs, why ngk?

I run Denso IK20 gapped for the F4R, IK22 if you want boost. I've had issues with NGK in the past (cracked ceramics) within 500-1000 miles, 3 times personally and many a time I've helped people out to find they've had the same problem. That's only on Ford engines though but some of those were...

Really bad misfire itbs just fitted

Vac leak or bad/wrong base map. Perhaps a wire wrong or bad connection on the ECU wiring as you need to move pins around on the Ph1

Re: Ph1 172 Sent the ITBs off to AT Power as a couple of the throttle plates had play in the fittings. Should get those back soon. There has been a delay with the gearbox but the old diff and 4.06 crownwheel are with Quaife at the moment. Waiting on the Supertech valves to get the head...

LSD choices for Clio 172 Cup

Good price! £532 delivered. There'll be customs charges on that and then fitting of the crownwheel, which is not easy. It's possible to get the Quaife for £900 all in with the crownwheel fitted. If you know someone who can do the crownwheel and you can avoid the charges you can't go wrong at...

What is the best ECU to be used on 172/182 turbo coversion?

I had 3D boost control set up on my DTA :) Omex can't do it though. I went DTA as it was better value for money than the Omex, had better features and I get more support for it from my local mapper.

What is the best ECU to be used on 172/182 turbo coversion?

I've been recommended a few ECUs but it depends on what the tuner/dealer favours really. I've got a DTA S40 as it was well priced, had better features than the Omex 600 and my local mapper deals with DTA so I got a better price on the ECU, wiring, mapping etc. I've run Megasquirt in the past...

    Turbo or Supercharger? Clio 182

If money had no affect on my decisions it would be cams (supercharger specific) and a supercharger with a shorter final drive. I simply prefer the power delivery. However turbo can be done on more of a budget. Both are quick, but its down to the driver and the mapping. If its mainly as a road...
