No you dont have to take it apart. Get a flat screwdriver and put it in the gap between the bottom of the button and the cover Then you just lever it out. Would be easier if I had a pic to show you.
Its only held on by about 4 screws. Lift the boot up and you will see them on the underside of the spoiler. Undo the screws then shut the boot again and lift the spoiler up to remove it.

If it was me I would get an ITG panel filter in the standard box and run a larger diameter air feed to it. Say 70mm. You will be looking at about £60 to do this.
I got a flat headed screw driver and prised the old grey plastic one out. Made a nice mess of the old one, but doesnt matter as you have a nice shiny one to replace it with.
