After all that I also decided I wanted a non-resonated center section for the Milltek so ordered some stainless steel and had the ends flared, cut the resonated section out and welded it all back together... I say I, but it was @f0xy who did it all, he's a handy b*****d.
we even swapped the...
NEW MODS
So after Oulton, that was it for track days for 2016. We had a few plans for winter maintenance and a few mods we'd been saving up for.
Firstly we'd been thinking about updating the suspension as the standard dampers and Eibach springs were first up for the chop (not literally). I...
Nice simple improvement mods and nothing else, honestly you'll thank us later as will your bank balance.
I'd personally not waste the money on wind deflectors and get some nice clean plates instead from somewhere like fancyplates (you get discount as a member). What I mean by clean plates is...

I don’t know the fitment of your car but I’ve just seen these... they would look immense.
Oulton Park!
9th of November and the gang made its annual pilgrimage to our local. With it being only down the A49 it would be extremely rude not to go when you can.
We headed out that morning knowing full well it was going to be a wet day, I've no idea why I took the R888's looking back...
UPDATE.
Welcome to Silverstone...
I've only ever been to Silverstone once in my 30 years and the last time I was there I watch Tim Harvey bury his Green and Gold Esso Ultron 406 in the gravel at the first corner (guess the year and you'll guess how old I was at the time). I wasn't that...
@davo172 the only place I trust is EFI for mapping etc. Once I get the engine ready to be put back into mine for timing and mapping it will be going to Scoff.
GAZ Gold's are spot on (couldn't tell you about GHA's), I have them fitted to my track car. Yeah they cost me £800, then I had to go about getting top mounts but they're brilliant. So currently running GAZ Gold and Compbrake fully adjustable top mounts (exactly the same as AST).
The first time around was just about doing it right and not going over the top, it does help when you have Mr Fox helping you out though, with what seems to be an infinite fountain of knowledge. This second one is all about the prep and executing the project to the very level I want, it will...
You change things on this car more times than I change my under crackers. Also take back the bodged track car comment, not all of us are animals. Im currently trying to rebuild one and its got 13 years of bodges I'm trying to rectify and replace using the correct methods. Show car... I mean...
I imagine the front bumper on a sport to be a PITA, were as the rest pretty straightforward. I dabbled when I worked at Boundary Car Care and it wasn't easy at first especially as I was being too gentle. From my experience do not use edging primer, I had to remove a full wrap from a Range...
I suppose but track days are supposed to be for fun, racing series are for going daft with weight. Theres a numpty on here whos gone to the enth degree to remove weight the keeps the standard seats... why?
I'm pretty sure we fitted it in reverse, the odd thing is the shifter only needs the slightest bit of pressure on it to stop it rattling. I thought it was the small spring inside the knob but obviously it isn't that, so bit the bullet and bought the rather expensive lump of metal.
Are you on a special diet to keep your weight down? go for a s**t pre track session? lap times? I only ask as if you're not doing the aforementioned 1kg will make zero difference.
I've just ordered said lump of metal as my track car drives me f**king wild driving to the track and even with...
