I think it’s piston failure as all the valve look in place just pent as the springs still compressed Like the heads still attached to pull head it’s engine out so may pull it to see if head is salvageable🙈

Soo a sad update.. couple of nights ago was coming home from work it was raining so traction didn’t exist 🙈 so was wheel spinning through the gears into 4th and then it finally bogged got grip and pop!! I managed to coast up the first slip road and yer towed it back to my parent as their house...
That’s a pain!! on the skunk mani have you blanked all vac ports off underneath? You tried squirting with brake cleaner round inlet while running to see if engine note change ?
Few little jobs done firstly when I first put rocker cover on I put bits of sealer whe the joins were but I had to whip rover cover off and when I re fitted I didn’t seal again as I was rushing and leaked like a siv so re sealed that!!
and also the shifter got a bit of slop and gear changes...
So not a major update but..
Did wheel alinement as when I fitted k20 setup it’s was a lot lighter and I wanted it to look cool I dropped coilovers a inch to look good and never checked alinement (it drove like shite) 🙈
so I set it towing out and -3 camber and levelled out the coilovers

Dunno if it’s been covered but I’m after a mk4 clio rs I’m probs at cheeper end of market budget wise is there anything concerning to worrie about like wet cambelt how good is the auto gearbox I see they run a dual clutch like (dsg) I guess I’m obvs not too worried if write off

all moted dropped it off yesterday he just got to do all the fiddly bits like kick panels badges a bloody good clean inside and out!! He will be changing the wheels we got a set of turbines we will be painting up for now!
