Ive found myself closing the door by pushing the window, it now has loads of greasy fingerprints all over it now though - maybe I should wash my hands once in a while.
Thats probably it, I waxed it this morning - and its shocked me every time Ive got out.
Anyone know the solution to stop it happening next time I polish/wax, or should I just stop being a puff and take the shocks like a man?
If my dad offers to wash my car whilst doing his, I dont trust him, Ill do it myself.
In work - the lads have the powerwasher set up (to wash vans and stuff), "bring your car round and well give it a going over" - dont trust them, Ill do it myself the hard way with a bucket and sponge...
I washed the car by hand (I dont trust the big mechanical ones), so it cant be rollers charging the car with static.
Im wearing fairly old clothes that Ive worn loads of times, could possibly be the cause.
Seems the footware may be the most likely cuplrit, although Im wearing old trainers -...
I gave my car a wash yesterday, waxed it today and the ungrateful bugger keeps giving me static shocks when I get out.
Its started happening this morning, is it something Im wearing or doing differently than normal?
BTW: I didnt post this message in exterior forum cos its broke.

I have 5mm spacers with original bolts, as have a few other people on here - I havent had any problems so far.
Even the last shot of the car with 182 wheels doesnt look convincing to me - like the wheels have been super-imposed onto it.
Wasnt the story that they never had a 182 ready in time for shooting - so used a 172 and just altered it with a computer afterwards?
I think its a generic key to start with, Ive read about people on here who bought a blank key from ebay and had it programmed later on for a fraction of the £100ish that Renault charge.
Use the http://www.cliosport.net/articles/loweringfaq/index.asp?Cliosport guide to fit them yourself, its dead easy, took me about 2 hours (about 1 and half for the front springs and 30 mins for back) - I managed to lower mine without problems and Id never done it before. Then you can use the...
If the trailer has no brakes of its own (which it most likely hasnt), the trailer can be a maximum of half your cars kerb weight (or 750kg which ever is less).
1.2 Clio: around 950kg.
Max trailer weight: roughly 457kg.
A quick google search,
Kawasaki 1200 STX-R: 290kg
Trailer...
I was looking for ages under the bonnet for a metal VIN plate rivetted to the bulkhead.
This is the page out of the manual in case anyone is interested what all the numbers are.

. . . Can I fit a replacement filter (not IK), just a simple take old one out and drop in new one that will make my lawn-mower 1.2 8v engine sound a bit beefier, not arsed about power gains - just want a bit more of a growl.
Mine before it was lowered on 16" 172 wheels. I dont think I looked too bad, just think that my car looked a lot higher than other standard Clios I have seen.

A pain in the arse to clean but I like the look of 16-spoke...
On newer Clios: it is a sticker on the drivers side door pillar.
The paint code is number 7 in the pic (5 digits):

Checked my manual (dont know why I didnt think of that earlier).
My Vehicle Identification Plate is a sticker on the drivers door pillar, Ive been looking under the bonnet for ages looking for a metal plate.
Im going to have a go at colour coding my bump strips next week. Where is the little plaque with the paint-code on it, and what will the code look like (i.e. is it letters and numbers: CD352, or just a string of letters: UFDMFM).
Cheers,
Mike.
BTW its a Metallic Black 52-plate Clio.
17 months old, have a small vertical dent in each door - due to people hitting my car with their doors in car parks.:(
And a large dent in the nearside rear quarter/arch where my sister hit a post when taking driving lessons in B&Q car park, will be getting round to fixing it soon.
Thats bad news mate. A woman hit me not long ago and am in the middle of claiming - havent had any hassle so far. Only filled in a couple of forms and am now waiting on an appointment with a back specialist.
As for the pain, its a proper b*****d. I was told by my doctor it could last up to...
