    if it was jus the starter that wouldnt explain the revs, as once its going it should be o.k. Cant see how the zaust would cause this kind of problem, souns more like plugs, leads etc etc.

    I have a full magnex now and i do like it, get some nice pops and bangs from that a lovely burrble from it. But i used to have a ful scorpion on my uno turbo the quality was equall on both, but i think the scorpion sounded ten times better, it just used to purrrr really nicely

    I cant post on the RTOC site yet as they aint received my cheque for renewing my membership (as i did point out in my first post). I asked on hear as i know there are people who read who own 5s or have a conversion like me (i do actually own a clio, just not a clio engine).

    pmsl its really titsing me off now, i cant go above 70 and its really hard to get to that speed. I can get 6000RPM in 2nd, 5500 RPM in 3rd, 4k in 4th and only 3500RPM in 5th (sometimes can get to about 4k) One of the pipes that comes from the actuator to the carb was split but this has been...

    nothing wrong with the carb, i clenaed it twice, but before that i had it rebuilt at euro parts. Its not that old anyway, a group A jobby. There are no split pipes that i can find and i have had them all off and checked, no boost leak either

    Put half a bottle of red X in the tank and about a quater in the carb afteer cleaning it, so wouldnt think so really.

    got one of them yeah. I have now changed everything i can think of to get the car running right, plugs, AI, carb has been taken off and cleaned twice, petrol pump and both filters and i still have no joy. W.T.F??

    why not go for the big disk conversion, just get the calliper extensions, disks and pads. See K-tec, BB tuning euro parts etc etc.

    You dont mean the TDC sensor do you? Small thing on top of the fly wheel that wires up to the ADI (is that right, ecu??)? If so then yeah i have on of them.

    Clio 1.4RT Before and After May 96

    The standard fuel pump on an R5 is not in the tank, on the clio it is in the tank .Therefore you dont change the pump, just use the one from the clio. Thats what i have done... Did i forget to mention that my RT has a GTT engine in it??

    Phase one clio, one of the earliest on a 91 H plate. It has a few subtle mods like small wheels and higher back susspension. Plus i have long legs so can press the accelerator hard ;):D roflmao
