Yeah my Mum had one on a 58 plate. Had it since new until September 2011.
It does have a good bit of kick, much much better than the 1.2 16v 75. Was reliable enough, never had any major problems.
Same with any car really, if its serviced properly and well maintained no reason to suggest it...
Full service history, got to be worth a shot!
Even if you get a year out it its still cheap, most new cars would depreciate by more than £2k over a year
LOL I thought the Golf was maybe a mate of yours who was following you somewhere! He was going for it!
Cheers buddy, I am pleased with it, really needs some paint at the front though.
Cup looks mint, bodywork looks really clean!
Indeed car looked mint mate in the ultra blue.
Remember seeing you pass in Lochcarron when we were at the small filling station and yeah all new windscreens needed haha
I'm pretty sure all SX's are turbo'd. It really makes a difference. The normal 1.2 16v has 75bhp, but the turbo increases this to 100.
I have the 1.2 TCE in my old Dynamique. It wasnt a fast car but had a decent kick to it.
Last weekend, me and a few others off here took the trip North to the Applecross/Skye area of Scotland.
We met in Fort William on the Friday evening with the rain coming in at full force giving the distinct impression that summer had finally arrived. We drove on the A87 North of Fort William to...

In my opinion Clio Sports are valued more on service history rather than toys. It may only have done 58k miles but I'd still expect to see a cambelt service in there, otherwise not worth much to a buyer.
I'd walk away, there are plenty good original examples around...
Had a look inside one of these when my car was in the garage. Really comfy and they look brilliant in the flesh. Would consider changing my Megane for one when the time comes.
Lovely car mate.
Looks clean mate. I remember looking at this on Autotrader, thought it looked good enough :)
I'd change the silver bumpstrips if it was me personally but looks a good buy!
Same faults as a ph2 in general.
If its been properly looked after, no reason why it should fail. Had my ph1 nearly a year and its cost me an MOT (pass) and a few tyres. Extremely reliable.
Service history is important though along with the dreaded belt change at every 5 years or 72k.
