May not of been tightened up properly, that ain't how it left the factory though, exhaust must of been chopped at some point. Yeah, AA / RAC would sort it for you.
Cambelt kit every 5 years or 72k, aux belt kit 36k or 3 years (depending who you talk to)
could be a number of things though! Really needs checking out.

Depends how hard they are to get out really, shouldn't be a major expensive though..... Have you lost the key Jamie?
I would test drive after replacing a pas pipe on a 1*2, make sure it had no rattles from heat shields etc depending where it was. Wouldn't be thrashing though, more of a pipe and slippers man! :p
I have seen people nut and bolt the lower rear shocker if the threads have been damaged etc? Occasionally they will snap! Had it happen once to me!
Maybe that? You shouldn't require them though IMO. :)
