What is the saying...........
'a fool and his money are easily parted'
just kidding mate, it's a real shame but unfortunately people can't be trusted. You need to get proof of these things.
I use Mintex pads on mine, they were about £40. They are fine for road use. You could get Pagid pads, again oe quality at a lower price.
Or you could speak to G.172 (I think that's his name) as I believe he can supply Brembo pads at a good price.
My advice would be:
1) Post in the right section. There is a brakes section under ClioSport technical.
2) Do a search, this will have been covered many times.
Do you want standard pads or uprated? Do you do any track work?
PSA lumps arent they? If so they should be very clean burning. The use a DPF system that 'catches' the crap and burns it off every so often.
The 136ps 2.0 lump I used to have in my Pug 307 NEVER EVER smoked in general use. Out neighbour has an SMAX with the same engine and it also is very...
I have a small (6 litre) compressor. I just used that on low pressure (about 20-30psi moved them no problem).
I've heard it can be done with a foot pump or similar, but i'm not sure how.
Here was this weekend project, I'm just writing a 'how to guide' which will be up later this evening. For now here is some before/afters
Before, lots of chips in the paint and ruined dust seals
After, better paint and new seals
Ignore the budget tyre!!
Keep an eye out...
Any ideas what this could be? My brothers gf has a 1998 1.2 clio and its using LOTS of oil. It's recently got through over a litre in 300 miles.
it isn't leaking it, so must be burning it. It's done fairly high miles (circa 140k). Could it be rings? Or valve stem seals?
would it be easiest...
Anyone know what the thread size is on the brembo calipers? I'm on about where the brake hose bolts to.
I want to thread a bolt into them whilst off the car so they don't spill fluid everywhere.
Actually whilst I think about it, what thread are the bleed nipples?
Cheers guys.
