Yeah that screen is fine they are all the same, just yours isnt displaying everything. Get yourself an update list CD player and ebay aux cable or Renault TunePoint (read from a usb stick etc) and you are good to go

Do you have the top screen on top of the dashboard with the clock? if so you will need an update list head unit with no screen, that will have the AUX option in the menu. If you have the screen above then the wiring is all the same so will work as normal. You then just plug the "ebay" aux...

Anti rotation links, I had similar on my 197, had no play at all in mine, swapped them, problem solved!

must be either oil leaking somewhere or an oil breather disconnected, I'm not familiar with the 1.2 tce in the mk4 but have a look at the oil breather pipework, see if any are disconnected

i found a set of really good condition genuine ph1 172 springs in the garage, i had tried to sell these but had absolutely no interest, the 1.2 had a couple of broken springs so i thought id give them a shot to see how they looked. - Stuck a cheap set of ph2 172 16" wheels on it too 😂

Does the fan come on with the AC? Other than on really hot days sitting stationary for a while my fan never comes on, but if I test it on diag or put the AC on, it fires up Is your temp guage going past the mid point?

Check the intake temperature reading make sure its in the same ball park as ambient temp when the car is cold. Make sure the plugs are correct, its a TCE specific plug but some factors provide the normal 1.2 plug. Check the readings from the pre cat lambda sensor

as above I had this with a 172 I bought that someone had fitted lowering springs and not fitted the bump stops, it ran at fairly sensible height and I couldn't for the life of me work out why I was getting rubbing as i had never felt one "hitting" the bump stops so assumed it shouldn't have been...

Bingo, you've probably missed one! (not taking the piss, ive been there!) I'm sure there's one down the back of the gearbox somewhere that i missed in between the ABS block and starter motor area. Does the fan come on when you test it with the Autel/turn the AC on? or is it just not kicking in...

If I remember right the section that covers the tank is the same on a non RS as it is on the RS so be plenty at a breakers. The front and rear sections are the corrugated looking parts that were RS specific, but the tank section is the smooth bit with no pressed pattern in it

Autel shows the alternator appears to be working, worth checking it on a multimeter to see if it's erratic. Check the earth points make sure the main earth are clean and in good condition How olds the battery? Mk3s weren't as fussy as a MK4 with battery condition but if it's on its way out...
