sorted - i was adjusting the cable but without pumping the brake solid first. so to fix it:
slacken cable right off (from in side the car)
pump the brakes solid
tighten the cable up (again from in side the car)
done- one solid handbrake!!
easy when you know how.
as above my hand brake has totally given up.
When I pull up the handbrake I can see the cable being pulled(by looking at the callipers) but the 'L' shape piece that it pulls doesn't seem to move enough to engage the brake?
I have adjusted the cable as tight as possible from inside the car...
I'm going to check my brackets now, iv only just seen this thread, but like most have said I'm over the moon with the product. Will the brackets be powder coated again if they were in the first place ?
saw this at a local show a few years back tbh its one of the better maxpowered cars ....still wouldn't buy it though and yes i think it might be charged
EDIT:
just make sure the others are done up correctly and check them after the longer journeys. you should be fine running 3 bolts though, i did for about 1k miles while i was waiting for locking bolts to come :/
