At your stage Joe reliability and looks are what's important. Your one is about perfect driveability wise. Greg tried to sell his a week after he achieved maximum status with the car and probably realised 100k (slight exaggeration) on a Focus wasn't that clever. Mr Simpson also said he'd never...
Heavy is to do the correcting and the light is too refine the finish after correcting, the light stage isn't for fixing swirls so to speak. Be careful though, can't be too sure on how much correction you can carry out, lacquer will fail eventually.
I've just finished a bottle of Gyeon that I was sent to trial after finishing my last IX, I go through a lot of it and although good I can't find anything that is close to IX. It's funny, a lot of detailing products can be very similar as you know but all the iron removers are different, they...
Shop n shine have Britemax Vantage for £30 again if anyone was interested. Very impressive wax and in a different pot we'd be calling it a boutique wax.

Lots of really good cleaners out there. LTT are probably the industries best leather carers but plenty of automotive alternatives.
The ipa or double wipe down is imperitive if you're using a ceramic sealant like C1, Exo, Cquartz etc. Or Canocoat/Reload/C2v3.
The last 3 can be used over glazes etc but if the paint is spot on you won't need a glaze or similar so IPA to give the best possible base.
On the door skin point. We made a decision a few years after I started estimating not to fit doorskins anymore, it ends up causing more issues for all parties! After the first few times of arguing with different work providers they eventually realise we're not interested in saving them money...
It went full circle Dan. We had panel beaters then we had fitters through the 00s (me being one of them to a point) now we want panel beaters again as we want to repair everything as it benefits the Bodyshop the insurance and in a lot of cases the customer.
