    172 Exhaust Hanger

There not nuts on the back, they're round things welded to the chassis that snap when you try to remove the bolts, i've taken to zip tying generic hangers in the thing because mine won't come off.

    Scouser and his Ferrari

He's already f*cked up that bumper, might aswel just pull it off or he'll be there all night.

    Scouser and his Ferrari

How the f*ck has he managed that without doing serious damage in the first place?

Yeah that freaked me out too, i'm still going to say it wrong because Chellica sounds weird.

    Toyota's Secret Collection

I'll send an email to the film maker and inform him of his error. I never knew there was a group S in the making, as if they needed a more hardcore class than group B, I can only imagine how insane that would have been.

    Toyota's Secret Collection

Basically the Q branch of Toyota, with a good old English boffin at the helm.

    What paint?

Most people just used different coloured electrical tape, but if you're using paint use a plastic primer first then spray colour over the top, the grill already has a rough surface so doesn't really need sanding.

You need to change your spell checker to English UK instead of English US.

Colour has a 'U' in it, unless you're American in which case carry on.

    182 Dogbone fitment issues.

Modern things, you mean like bushes that every car has had since the 1800's?

    182 Dogbone fitment issues.

Hardest bit is getting the old rubber out, pressing in the polybushes is relatively easy, can't see how they couldn't do it, unless they couldn't be bothered.

If they haven't fitted it properly i'd definitely get it sorted.

    Is this engine mount knackered

I doubt it, they usually just buy a new one or put Powerfelx mounts in so they don't have to replace it again.

    Is this engine mount knackered

    Certainly looks right.

    Is this engine mount knackered

I had the same thing with my K-Tec / Vibratechnics engine and gearbox mounts, from what people had said I was expecting a jack hammer under the bonnet, when in fact I felt nothing other than solid acceleration from a well secured drive train.

    Is this engine mount knackered

I've heard loads of people make out they vibrate like a rampant rabbit, I noticed nothing at all other than the manifold clunk disappearing.

    Is this engine mount knackered

    There not it's two bolts.

    Is this engine mount knackered

It didn't cause vibrations in mine and budget mounts usually go wrong with a month, even my uprated engine mounts which people say are unbearable didn't cause any extra vibrations in mine.
  21. DaveDreads

    Is this engine mount knackered

Didn't in mine, just stopped everything moving about, plus most people that have reported extra vibration say it only happens at idle when sat still.

    Is this engine mount knackered

The dog bone mount can look perfect but be as soft as chewing gum, for the price of a new one you can buy Powerflex bushes that won't wear out as quick.

Those that hated the driving position what did you do next?

By that definition the dog kennel's the coolest Clio on here, it goes through fuel like a hooker goes through condoms, and my seats are nice and low.

I meant your 2 seater bender mobile I forgot we were talking about 172's, I wasn't concentrating.

As if that Matchbox toy of yours is capable of racing the speed limit.

Those that hated the driving position what did you do next?

Must be the way I drive then, 70-80 on the motorway, but around town I drive normally and I still get sh*t mpg, maybe it's because of the 98ron map or something.
  27. DaveDreads

Those that hated the driving position what did you do next?

Is it b*llocks! I barely get 38mpg and I have to be doing constant motorway speeds for over an hour to get that, around town I get around 32-35.
  28. DaveDreads

Those that hated the driving position what did you do next?

Not long, the hardest bit is getting to the bolts under the car, you'll need a deep socket set and the car has top be jacked up to get at the ones near the handbrake, it does make it difficult to slide the seats back and forth as the runners rub on the carpet.
