Pull and twist it. You'll probably find it's been over tightened and crushed the flare on the hard pipe. Had one last week with the same situation.

It's not actually the sleeve that's rattling either. I fitted one to a mates car on Sunday and we spent ages working it what the rattle is. Actually took the reverse sleeve off, and it still rattles. It's harmonics from the engine echoing up the tube IMO.

It's 5 years/72k here, the aux kit is due every 36k or 3 years.

Pas pump doesn't sound great, but the higher pitched noise can be a few things. How old is the aux kit ?
