Prolines are better than sportlines. I've had both, wouldn't go back to sport's. Neither will be a patch on H&R's. If you can afford it go for H&R's, if not prolines on standard dampers.

People that know about cars will buy privately. But the average joe that has no clue will buy from a dealer, as they have some comeback and warranty. Good luck with the sale bud, I'm picking mine up soon and can't wait.

There's a silver 172 that I've seen blatting past the swan on a few occasions. Loud exhaust, driving lit a tit most of the time.

The 172 won't handle as well as a 182. Mines on eibachs, even's things up a bit. There's a buying guide knocking about somewhere here, do a quick search.

Drive the newest, lowest mileage 172 you can to get a feel for how they should be. Your a bit far, but I have a minter you can drive. It's for sale, but your welcome to just come and have a drive if your ever up this way.

Age isn't experience. Just be careful, take time to learn the car and resist the urge to show off. We've all done it, I once nearly ended up under a truck trying to demo lift off in a saxo.

Tis a minter. At the end of the day, price it at what its worth, accept the markets slow, and be prepared to wait for the right buyer.

There's more Trophy's around at the mo, lots coming out of warranty. More than any other RS thats a worry, as dampers are uber expensive. I'm planning to get mine rebuilt early, save the hassle when they do go.
