The wheels are so wrong but the car is so so special. Stunning work Andy as always these days.
How are you finding Exo?
I was lucky enough to drive one before its official launch as the garage had a demo one. The wait if ordered at that point was over 12 months depending on engine and spec...
And they claim I don't know my s**t. The last car I look after was topped at 5 months. Was still sheeting water like crazy, beading was jaded slightly.
We have sanded and polished a wrap before for light paint transfer, the re-wrap would have costs hundreds. The time involved is insane as is the risk, ie you're cheaper to respray the car.
Bingo! People never realise that close up these gloss wraps look so bad for orange peel. Matte wraps work, glossy ones do not, maybe barring white and pearl white.
It's not a bad idea and I like the colour but close up his CSL now looks pants.
1 year warranty is b****cks. SOGA would embarrass that in court. What kinda of TV should last 1 year!?
On your issue, it depends how much you're willing to fight it. Is lasting 2 years fit for purpose?
I think so. Going to coat the top of the boot lid and bonnet in Dlux I think for more testing.
I heard someone had to seriously machine it off a test panel.
Not nice to apply but cool for testing. You seen my video in the other thread with Dlux on half a wing.
Go old school jetsam 109! It used to be the ONLY thing for base!
Aucky I love Finis wax. I think it far surpasses HD in my recent use and testing on the panel at work. So much nicer to use. I'd say it'll be a bit less durable but we're talking over 6 months imo.
Monster detail planned for Sunday with Mr CarPro himself! Is it sad i'm uber excited to detail this thing? LSP currently undecided but I want to do a proper write up!
Depends what type of sealant it is. Z2 under wax, reload 2014 over wax if you so wish.
Tbf you could use Reload under a wax also! No hard rules in detailing imo. Experimenting is the fun. Personally i'd want Z2 base and shield through the winter if he's desperate for wax.
Whilst I agree CR is madness as it won't last and you'll pay for the privilege. It's winter, not summer. Sealants are the way forward. Put on and forget about it. Use Hydro2 to keep anything topped up imo.
But it's going to be professionally detailed, the prep work is already there and guaranteed (you'd hope). The LSP then makes a massive difference hence this thread.
