i had flat ones made up for the track car, then was going to use spacers (galvanised rubber (hockey pucks cut to size)) to space them.... should be something in my build thread

do the 172's / 182's and the lower spec models share similar/ the same mounts? (more importantly the upper gearbox mount?)
was from shepton mallet, then lived just outside wells, then moved to gillingham (nr shaftesbury, other side of yeovil), shortly moving to Milton Keynes though

right, well i was looking at the dog bone mount at the rear (so totally the wrong place), but this looked ok..... (from what i could see), so i am unsure what the garage was on about when they said about one that had collapsed, either way there is a fair...

pretty sure that is the mount the garage had said had collapsed, i had a look underneath (only a quick look) and it didn't seem too bad, i could be totally wrong though

2 rear tyres boarder line legal >>> sorted with new 172 wheels and tyres
NSF coil spring is different and wrong to other side, >>> 172 struts and springs
OSF suspension strut leaking...
i am not so sure it will only go one way, it would be easier to break it now for sure, but now its at home there is no pressure to make the decision.
as for time, thats only currently the case due to working away, its not a long term scenario so hopefully that is not a deciding factor
its not that great a shell anymore, its straight yeah but the panels are a little beaten up now. Nothing will be happening on this for a while, that decision has been made anyways. I totally agree with what you are saying about seeing others chucking £££ at there projects, as i have said...
