On a budget, your best bet is to get a head unit, and an amp to run some front components, then spend money on fitting them properly.... Sound deadening and sealing. You'll get good sound quality and more bass than you could imagine out of some well fitted door speakers.
90% of a good sound...
^^ it's very difficult if you've never done any sort of build before.
Also, calculations using pi will only be accurate if the enclosure is a perfect cylinder, which it won't be.
^^^^ you'd get more bass out of some decent component speakers than out of a poorly sealed sub. Plus it WILL break your sub. The more I think about it, the more I remember how horrifically difficult it was to do.
Seriously, don't do it. Making a decent fibre glass enclosure is very difficult...
You'll amost certainly need an adaptor to link it to the steering wheel controls.
Don't fancy wiring the sub yourself? I can give you Help as you go along... As can plenty of others on here.
How can anyone answer this??? Lol.
Could be a write off from the doors forward and the back box might be brand new.
I picked up a brand new full stainless system for a mates astra from a scrappy's once... They obviously didn't realise what it was as I got the whole £600 system for £40.
There's plenty of group buys on here for track Clio stuff.... The Sabelt Clio cup steering wheel, carbon door cards etc etc.
Bimarco seats FTW. They look amazing, hold very well but are comfortable and are a lot cheaper than equivalent quality seats.
If I was buying a car for track, it would...
EBC are probably worse than the oem pads. I haven't read anything good about them on here.
The rear pads do literally FA. There is no point whatsoever in updating rear pads. Maybe you should just buy new fronts as well if you're desperate to upgrade your pads
Even a second drivers your parents will save you a fortune.
Doing a rep is a massive waste of money. It'll cost you twice what an actual RS would cost and be worth less money resale. Complete waste of money.
You can make the smaller Clio's look pretty good with very little cash.
Body coloured...
My cup is on 71,000 miles and the gearbox still feels fine... Yes, the throw is a tad long but it's not the end of the world.
As said, it's the drivers that break gearboxes.
^^^^^ agreed.
Realistically, if you want to put it in the wheel well, you'll need to create a fibreglass shell for the enclosure so it will fit perfectly in the wheel well... This makes it very difficult to calculate the enclosure volume.
Steve's suggestion of just making a standard enclosure...
