Don't mean to hijack your thread, but my dad is a professional fabricator / engine tuning specialist.
He's just started his own business and hes agreed to give guys on here a discount on anything they buy. He can make pretty much anything, all bespoke, and mostly from aircraft grade titanium...
Why are there so many people b******g about people spending their money on cars? I was always under the impression that people were free to spend their money on what they wished?
Plus, answering a question honestly hardly constitutes boasting does it?
I thought the 200 was 17? But anyway, the safety of the car comes into the cost of insurance a lot now. The 200 is a lot safer for drivers/passengers and whoever it is that you hit.
But yes, im convinced that insurance companies just make up their prices. I got a quote on a 2003 Audi s4, only...
That quote is from admiral, along with elephant they are the cheapest by a country mile for young drivers. Every other company on comparethemarket was £1300 - £2500.
In short, yes. However, it's not technically my first car, I've been driving my girlfriends brabus roadster for two years. It's just the first car I've owned.
I'm a complete petrol head anyway, raced karts since I was 13 and will be buying a Porsche 944 to compete in the Porsche open...
Agreed... I've only test driven the phase 1, but even from the 20 minutes I've spent in one, I'd buy one over a phase 2 for a track car. No question.
The only reason I got the phase 2 was because of the slightly more pleasing interior. Although I then threw that out the window by going for...
in fact, on that note.... Isn't there a renault specialist in Portsmouth somewhere?? Rensport or something? I was going to go to k-tec, but Portsmouth is quite a lot closer.
so this was the 200 :(, i think it might be the most beautiful (within reason) car I've ever seen.
I'd also like to say a massive than you to Richard at CDG for being brilliant the whole way through, gutted I couldn't take it.
And this is the new one.....
lol. I did actually buy one, ordered it from Renault, it got delivered to the garage, chose my plate etc.... then I moved in with the girlfriend, into our first house together, and I couldn't afford the finance and the house :( GUTTED. But the insurance was £1735 on my own.
I've got hankook's on my girlfriends car and they are FANTASTIC. The traction and grip in the wet is particularly impressive. Excellent tyres and they've got a nice looking tread pattern too.
Has anyone ever done this? Is it relatively straight forward in a 172cup? I'm keen to change the driving position asap so im buying some ktec carbon bucket seats and I want floor mounted pedals (easier for heel/toe braking).
Any and all advice welcome!
It's actually ok. My girlfriend and I are sharing the car for now so she can be the main driver. Girly insurance means it's only £790 for the year fully comp with a £350 excess.
Hey. I'm new too. Just thought I'd say hi and let you know that, when I read the description of your car, I was brought close to tears, but it actually looks really nice!
Evening guys and girls, just put a deposit down on a Clio 172 cup. Prepared for being raped by admiral for my insurance and looking forward to picking it up on Friday!
I'm sure I'll be spending many an hour trawling through the forums for info so looking forward to getting to know you all...
Hi,
I'm looking at buying a clio 182, I've found one at my local garage that i love.
It's done 42,000 '04 54 plate
Racing blue with powder coat white wheels
Milltek exhaust
Eiback lowering springs
Ktec front strut brace
There's a few problems with the interior, nothing serious, for example...
