^^^^ Agree . I think Renault got it right with the 172 / 182's , imo they have taken a backward step with the 197 , definitely with the looks and maybe even performance wise .
^^^^ Mine keeps the hot air out and cost me fcuk all to make , just £30 for new a k+n cone filter of ebay ;)
Make one yourself why pay alot of money for a piece of metal ??
I just spray the fairy power spray on and leave while i get my pressure washer set up , buckets etc for washing .After about 10 mins i just pressure wash off the fairy power spray and hey presto clean wheels :)
I also use Aldis own version which they only have in their special offer sales...
^^^^ Agree . Now the wait is over for the new RS i think people are finding it abit of a let down compared to the 182 .
I'm sure i remember some threads a while back about how much the 197 will affect the second hand value of 182's :rasp:
The screw will probably be a bit tight after 5 years , but torx heads are usually pretty good for not slipping and rounding , just make sure you put plenty of pressure on it so it doesn't give it chance to slip out and it should be ok .
Torx screw holds em on . Can't remember the size off the top of my head , might be a 25 or 30 .Sometimes they feel like they are still stuck on after you've taken the screw out , it'll probably be rusted on , give a few hard hits with a hammer , or try with the screws undone and the caliper...
I agree with whats been said . You do ge used to it , some days it doesn't feel anything special speed wise , then others it seems to fly especially on b roads . The best time to appreciate how quick they are is after its been in for a service and you've had a little 1.2 Clio or even worse a...
They don't have to replace it , not straight away anyway . The warranty will cover a repair . If it fails a 2nd time or 3rd or maybe even 4th then you can start to ask for a replacement as you have given them a reasonable amount of attempts to repair it .You can ask for a replacement but you'll...
Had my 182 for 6 months now , use it everyday , and i floor it everyday , most of the time tbh . I did the same with my 172 for 48k . No point having a car that will shift if your gonna drive like a granny imo .
Yeah bearings are part of the discs . You can either get them pressed out and pressed back into the new discs or buy discs with the bearings already in .
Heres a guide . You won't need the abs ring on your discs obviously with yours being a cup .The guide says a 30mm hub nut but thats on a...
If you've got mods declare em , otherwise if you need to claim you'll find your insurance is void so you'll have paid alot of money to the insurance company for nothing , you might as well not pay the insurance in the first place if your that stupid .
I use a mix of shampoo and water , spray on the dried bugs and let them soften up and rehydrate while i spray my wheels and get the pressure washer ready . Then they usually come off no problem with the pressure washer , also like Karen says the back of the megs lambswool mitt with the mesh...
What do you mean exactly ? What changes ?? You either sell yout car with road tax or you cash in your road tax at the post office and get some money back .
Having owned both 172 and 182's mate and driven 1.2's and 1.4's i can safely say that they do seem to brake better . As i said , its because they only have tiny little engines ;) so there's fcuk all weight to stop :rasp:
I suggest you ask a grown up if you can have a go in one , thats if...
I've had a few courtesy cars , clio 1.2's , 1.4's and the brake always feel a bit sharper . I think its something to do with having alot less weight in the engine compared to the 172 / 182's .
ooops sorry mate , didn't know it was you selling them .How come your selling em , have you gone for upgraded ones ? I guess if there's only 1/2 a mm wear on em they would be a good buy .
Tbh mate i wouldn't touch second handbrake discs . The ebc ultimax pads are just standard replacement pads . I'd rather go for the greenstuff if i was buying any .
