When i bought my 172 , the contis on the front lasted 7.5k . On my 182 i'm on 4.5k on the michelins so time will tell , still plenty left at the moment , but i do get hardly any wheel spin on the 182 so that helps enormously .

I had one in another phone , held 2 sim cards , you pressed *3375# and it swaps over to the next sim card . Never heard of having 2 sims cards with the same number though .

The brakes ( calipers , discs , pads ) get extremely hot anyway with or without paint . Never had a problem with mine being painted and i'm sure any heat retained , if any , by using heat resistant paint would be minimal .After all thats all that caliper paint is , heat resistant paint .

I painted mine off the car . I had a spare set so it helped , but its easier off the car . I just wired brushed mine with these : http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?id=13734&ts=91893 You can pick em up in pound shops . Sprayed them with black hammerite smooth .Job done .

I suppose how baked on, what pads you have on etc ... put it this way , the cars only 6 months old and they are the cleanest they have been inside the wheel since it was new . Only about 7 quid so it won't break the bank to try one The material is a bit like those green scourers that women...

Bought one of these last week and used it today . Best brush for the 182 alloys , fits perfectly inbetween the spokes and right though the spokes to clean the inside of the wheel which is usually pretty hard to reach . I remember Rich mentioning these a while back , not sure if its the same one...

Are you still gonna do the dvd's even if only 5 people want them ?

Like mikeDX says . Removeable hard drive . I don't have my hard drives inside the tower . I have 2 removeable racks so i'm able to swap hard drives in minutes ...

I still think all ph-1's are Iceberg not Titanium . Car manufacturers don't usually go back to a colour that they have used previously , like 4 or 5 years ago . They usually tweek the colour slightly and give it another name , hence they went from Iceberg on the 172's , a slightly whiter silver...

All the mk2 172's are Iceberg, and thats the most popular colour ;)

I didn't think so either , i thought the ph-1's were the same colour as the 172 ph-2's , Iceberg .
