I think but could be totally wrong, the downside to the rear strengthening kit is that it reduces flex in the rear beam much the same as an ARB does, but where with an ARB if you want that flex back you can just disconnect it. With the PMS kit there is no adjustability although you are getting a...
Thats not good to hear and why on earth would they spend time mapping the car before it's had the mod its gone in for! I don't blame you for not wanting to return mate. I'm sure TDF will look after you you will get an accurate RR figure before and after which you can use as a comparison rather...
Depends what you want from the car Chris, I have had both an R27 and a 182 they are very different really as said above. The R27 was a much nicer place to be very chilled and personally I didn't think the suspension was that hard at all! The 182 is a different proposition really and in the 1000...
Haha yes ;)
Will do mate, We have fitted the fronts and will be doing the rears at some point but I can't remember why we didn't do the while it was getting the other work done!
I don't think the cup racers did but could be wrong
LOL at Fred I don't think Matt did mine himself ;) He sticks...
He has put some in my car and they have done a great job with them. I haven't driven the car with them yet but will of done by next weekend so I can let you know then :)
Not a problem mate I will set a reminder :) It will be the afternoon if thats okay as its the first time the car will of run so will need to sort out a basic setup and make sure it runs okay :)! Thanks for the offer mate and would love to take you up on it but will have to see how the day goes...
Your more than welcome to jump in mine aswell for a bit and see what you think as that will run bodies and 421's :) That is if I remember to bring a passenger seat lol
I really wouldn't recommend it we had a 550 and it drank fuel! I used to average 18MPG from Leeds to Manchester every day and that was pretty much all motorways so you can imagine what town/ sprinted driving was like!
Haha it has been mounted a notch or so further forward now :) But yes Long arm's, tall and big lol! Also when we got the seat right down on the floor of the car it was surprising how much further back it needed to be! Standard box going in for now but couldn't reach it and needed the space for...
I found this myself when I was looking for mine! No matter where I went or who I tried I could find nobody who makes or supplies them other than RE Motorsport even with a few mates in the trade they couldn't find anything either!
I use Motul RBF660 available from lots of places, Opie oils, Demon tweeks etc. Its got good wet and dry boiling points and is DOT 4 so won't cause any issues with the system :)
I should be there as long as my car is ready in time and also the weather is okay :) Will be good to meet some new people!
1. DannyR (on track)
2. LewisTaylor (on track)
3. BIGASH (on track)
With your experience of the prices of these do you expect there is anything more serious than this Steve? I'm really tempted to have a trip back to Leeds and have a look round it!
Sounds good, the best bit about them is the residuals are VERY strong, good choice on the engine and it would of been the one I would have gone for if we didn't have to have an auto :s I wouldn't suggest buying the petrol as its a thirsty little thing! Good luck with it if you end up getting one :)
Haha love the fact you washed it and it wasn't your car! I really like them aswell we got one in September and they are great little cars. Went for the Petrol S-Line with DSG and is a nice car to drive. You going to get one then?
Sounds really good and i'm sure it must of been nice to take it for a drive after the work, If the cam belt need doing then I would go with a set of 421's and ARP bolts. That way you can raise the rev limit. If the dephaser needs doing aswell have you thought about going for non-vvt cams and...
