Low static or non static QD?

This ones aimed at David ( R9DCG) , Alan and Rich . The wax obviously holds a positive charge causing it to attract dust . Do you find that different microfibre cloths cause more static than others when removing the wax , or are they all the same ?

    No alarm 182

I have a Cat 1 Toad 850T fitted to my imported 182 , i had the same alarm fitted on my imported 172 . I wouldn't bother getting Renault to fit an alarm as iirc they only have an 18 month warranty , whereas the Toads come with a lifetime warranty . I had a guy called Dennis , who is Toad...

I used some of this stuff called " View " i got as a free sample off hitharder . Best stuff i've used to date , better than the AG glass polish imo . I would have thought they were integral with the centre cap itself , so you'll probably have to buy the whole centre cap .

    Pedals?

^^^^ Love the don't be scared bit , lol . Get yourself a good drill and a couple of sharp drill bits or you'll be drilling all day . Put a block of wood under the pedals so you can get a good amount of pressure on the drill .

    Advice needed please ..

If its just one of the covers that goes on the back of the unit i'd just pop it back on and leave it . As said above . They are not sealed and only there to stop dirt getting in . As you've experienced before dealerships are very helpful and love to bend over backwards to keep a happy smile...

STOP and handbrake light randomly illuminate?

I don't know about the alternator being on its way out causing the lights to flicker , but its a common trait on the Clio that the lights come on especially when going round a sweeping bend indicating either just low brake fluid level or worn pads causing the fluid level to be low .

    laquer coats

If its just a bit patchy , like some of its not as shiny as the rest scratch x alone might bring it up . If it doesn't then try wet sanding then scratch x .
  28. MRBILLYUK

    laquer coats

    Scratch x ;)
  29. MRBILLYUK

    laquer coats

AG's only very mildly abrasive , if you wet sand you'll need scratch X .Even if you don't wet sand i'd use scratch x , always useful to have some to hand for minor scratches on your car .
  30. MRBILLYUK

    laquer coats

Leave it for a week so the lacquers fully gone off , then if your not happy with the finish wet sand it with some 2000 grit wet n dry paper , then polish it with some meguiars scratch X and it will come up nice and shiny .
