i didnt average anymore than 23mpg on any given week in mine, it was sub 20 most weeks and hovered around 21 on a quiet week! it was an expensive but bloddy fast 13k lol
strange, my 200 filter was no where near that dirty after 13k! suppose it just depends on the setup of the airbox/air feed etc, there was stones and leaves in the airbox too lol
i love it compaired to my heap of a 200 lol it has no rattles, clunks, exhaust is still fitted properly however we all know that wasnt down to Renault and was Arnold Clarks fault!
so far its doing 40mpg daily around town and thats not really trying, thats just nipping about, ive managed 45mpg...
imo its worth having a map on the standard car, any mods are just a bonus. Just getting a generic map from your local mobile remaping place is a waste of money but something well developed like fastchip does with the RS tuner or from one of the specialists on here that does quite a bit on them...
Received my K-Tec air filter today, poped the airbox open and threw it in, while i was at it i removed the boost pipe and cleaned the throttle body out (car was idling fine but i just like to do this whenever i service my cars to ensure they are running spot on)
tiny little throttle body...
ive just cable tied them on in the past and they have been fine for years!
depending on the age of the car its probably worth dropping the rest of the gearbox oil and changing it all.
very nice, they look better without projectors anyway, i planned to retro fit them to mine after having them + HID's on my GT but once i picked the car up i actually prefered it!
i didnt do maths at school mate. however after speaking to the majority of people i know with new cars most of which did do maths, go to uni etc, none of them consider depreciation as a running cost, they buy a car because its road tax excempt, best mpg possible, cheapest service plan etc etc...
as i said im not sure if it is the same clutch but i would find it hard to beleive its radically different, for a twingo to be running 190lb/ft you would probably be close to the 200bhp mark so imo the clutch isnt a problem,of course clutch life will be rapidly reduced, but a fresh clutch should...
best way to remap it is to get an RS Tuner from FastChip, few place in scotland will give you a generic remap but really none of them are as good as what Henk from FastChip offers, the other option is getting a live map from somewhere like RS Tuning in Leeds or some of the other highly...
agreed to a certain degree however after my experiance with renault, if i could go back to my engine failure i would much rather have bought a new engine and fitted it myself at my expense to my 2 month old car than the warranty hastle i had, however thats a full different thread!
attitude wont do you any good on here, there is a lot of knowledgeable people that can give sound advice, but throwing it back in there face when they give you there opinion will get you nowhere!
the standard injectors arn't far off 100% DC when above 4500rpm on the overboost from what i heard...
and this is the major issue with the majority of people, myself included up until a few months ago, they dont factor depreciation as a running cost, when in actual fact its the biggest running cost of any new car!
ahh right i see, i will never buy a brand new car again after the experiance i had with my 200, as i mentioned in another thread of yours, fuel, payment and depreciation alone cost me £1400 a month on an average over 13k, depreciation obviously not helped by the fact i had to trade in due to the...
on the uber cheap old deal but recently by the time you add cup chassis and recaros to a normal 200 you are closer to £300 than you are to £200 with a small deposit!
mark, i take it for servicing costs you just worked out a monthly average for servicing and consumables?
that seat is just a fat driver sitting on it when getting in and out and stretching it/creasing the material when sitting in it, if you smooth out the material when getting in it, it will eventually go mostly back to shape and normal
i thought billabongs were just another version of the extreme 4 so aircon as option and no climate or leccy roof? however assuming it runs sweet, snap it up
old 4 plugs vs one new plug, didnt look too bad and it had the proper plugs installed too
this however doesnt appear to have been changed at the last service 13k ago!!! (my k-tec should be here on monday :) )
