I was thinking about taking the helper springs out tbh, but thought id chuck up a post to see if other springs where available before i did this.

I have a Renault 182 manifold that I will be fitting to my ph1.
The head will be coming off for porting and its having cams, Im after a bit more mid range punch which is what the 182 manifold gives.
172 manifold is 4 into 1
182 manifold is 4 into 2 into 1
That manifold will probably loose you power.
To fit a 182 manifold the sub frame needs to be removed or the cylinder head taken off.
Just not worth the effort.
I try not to as i have my van for day to day use. :)

I know mate, Fancy plates balls the spacing up and as you said maybe get it a little bit shorter.
Ill have to have a measure up and see.

Tom something looks wrong with your top mount nuts, if they are a nut on the top of a tube sleeve then it should go under the the top mount (the bit in the engine bay)
