@Don, yes mate. Any car club can book the venue for a day. You can have it without the food van for cheaper but its worth having it imo.

Cant we book a day at curborough @Mr Burns ? Sure mark said its £600 for the day, including the food van. Granted it would be hard everyone getting the day off work but if its booked well in advance it could be possible. Say we get 10 people, its only £60 each for all day.

Masking tape your matks before you cut. Measure twice, cut once. I would draw a template around the catch itself and place it around on the bonnet where it looks best. Avoid the double skin under the bonnet to.

I went and picked up a jag xf this morning for the brother in law. That was a barge but its got me wanting one. They put the red cover over it and everything. Bit cheesy but it was a nice touch.
