    Braided brake hoses, worth it?

Hel brake lines are good as the ends/fittings are stainless steel. Other brands are just plated so they rust.

Broken my car, brake fluid reservoir help

If its the fulid reservoir then its not on the pressure side of the system. I think the reservoir is just a push fit into the master cylinder. There should be 2 black O ring/grommet seals in the top which it just pushes into. Happy birthday btw, its my sons 10th today.

    Cam belt change (pic)

    Cam belt change (pic)

They MUST replace the Aux belt, NOT just the belt but the complete kit which from Renault is about £50. If the aux belt fails then it will take the cam belt out which will in turn smash the engine to bits. Air con does not need to be touched, i hope they are not charging you for a re gas...

best way to replace dephaser on 172

You need the pin to lock the crank, the horse shoe is only to aline the cams/check the timing and not to lock them. You also need the tool to lock the pulleys so that they can be un done/re tighten.

best way to replace dephaser on 172

Its my car and my hobbie mate, im very fussy and didnt want anyone else working on my car tbh. I worked on Aston martin for 8 years and I now work for the Financial Times as an engineer for the last 13 year's. It wasn't so much about the money as I knew I could sell the tools on. (That was 3...

best way to replace dephaser on 172

You need the locking tooks as the pulleys free wheel once un done. Its not like doing a old car where the cam pulleys have key ways fixing them in place.

best way to replace dephaser on 172

Forget it then. You will end up smashing the engine to bits.
