    Monaco budget track build.

I done a few runs in the van without it, screw that haha

    Engine stutter

Rear lambda should just be there to confirm the car is working so shouldn't cause any running issues if it's the same as the mk2. If like the mk2 it's the same sensor front and back of the cat then try it in the front first for a few days to see if that cures it since your buying one anyway

    Sadev STDSA

There was always horror stories of these costing a bomb to rebuild and needing regular rebuilds is this the case?
  4. Martin_172

    Engine stutter

Worth getting it plugged in as a lot of people diagnose it as "normal" as they ain't the best when cold but sometimes that points people away from a faulty lambda sensor or somthing similar. I've never found any of mine particularly bad to drive when cold, infact my 172s were all worse before...

    Buying new head unit

As above I've only ever bought Pioneer but the wiring has all been a straight swap the only thing you need an adaptor for if your worried about it is for the screen (it will still show clock and outside temp without one) and the steering wheel controls. You will need an Ariel adaptor for a...

How can I find out everything I need to know about 200s?

As above top mounts and springs changed but they are Interchangeable (I fitted 200cup dampers on my early style too mounts and 197 springs) the damper clamps into the hub as opposed to the mk2 way of bolting with 2 bolts thru it. My experience of them is less electrical niggles and more...

How can I find out everything I need to know about 200s?

Not sure there is much other than doing loads of searches on here. The basics: Available mainly as a 200 or 200 cup, there was the raider and Silverstone GP too. There was also the gordini (love it or hate it!) As per the 182 the 200 was available with cup pack giving lower and stiffer springs...

    Cabasse auditorium difference

It was a dynamique+ so had climate and electric sunroof but just had the standard non cabasse update list with no sat nav

    Cabasse auditorium difference

Sean some seem to have the wiring with no nav but not seen an RS with this. Does the vin on your dash top match the car? People were selling sat nab setups for mega money back in the day, seen the dash top alone go for £300!

    Cabasse auditorium difference

Na was years ago, sorry I've never seen the wiring under the base to see how it was wired I assume an extra wire ran along side the main wiring to the sat nav system
  15. Martin_172

    Cabasse auditorium difference

it was an optional extra and all the Dynamique+ dci 100's ive come across were pre wired for it though with the GPS receiver in the Ariel (my 100 had it) - they have the ariel with the big base rather than the small round one:

    Cabasse auditorium difference

there is no way that is a sub! possibly on cars pre wired for nav as above.
  17. Martin_172

    Cabasse auditorium difference

None of my cabasse cars have had that either! But yes it does sound a chunk better, not quite as powerful as a good aftermarket but a nice compromise of looking standard and retaining the controls/screen

Should I buy a trophy as an investment?

screw that, mortgage rates are at their lowest ever, investing it is wise, just not in a trophy!

    Impreza fans...what's this?

This! I suppose it's different cars for a different generation. I drove my mates 475hp golf R and it was capable, fast, dull and forgettable, it's the fastest car I've ever driven yet when I tell my little girl stories about driving fast cars, it never crossed my mind. Seeing that getting the...

Should I buy a trophy as an investment?

I think other than fast fords I'd be looking at an Impreza, everything else JDM has climbed and imprezas have been slow to react. Trophts I'm sure one day will go the same way the 5gtt and 205gti has gone but it's a long time to wait for a small gain compaired to what fast fords have done over...

I hope your planning on filming it, love an Impreza!!!

Should I buy a trophy as an investment?

I wouldn't say so, i think a cup would be a better investment given they can just about be had for the £1500-£2k mark if you keep an eye in the right places. While i think you will make a bit of cash on a trophy over a few years, you end up loosing garage space, say you bought one today for £6k...

    200 Cup Gordini #017

I wouldn't bother with the strut braces, no improvement to be had. Just make sure you don't want to put the stripes back on as they are over £300 from Renault, if they are still available! that's why I left them on my Twingo

    My New 182

Mick will look after you. It's not a full fat though just a normal 182, as it doesn't have the cup spoiler pack. You would need to measure the bolt spacing on the front dampers to see if it has the cup suspension. Nice colour in the flesh the blue!
