money would be better spent ditching that front splitter and replacing it with an SX one

dont touch the suspension unless your spending decent money imo. i tried a few combinations on my dci100 and was unhappy with them from eibachs to eibachs with bilstein black's which wernt as good as stock dampers no mater what they are supposed to be, the standard dampers dont suit a stiff...

new track rods, track rod ends and bottom arms was one of the best things i done to my old 172, totally refreshed the car, made it feel as it had just left the factory as they were badly worn after 45k!

nice mpg that! efficient little engines these when you dont nail them everywhere

the higher you change then obviously the higher your going to be in the power band in the next gear so depending on the engine/box/mods etc your running just because your past peak power doesnt mean its not the best time to change gear.

na mate its a 6 speed, same box that the 197/200 uses but with longer ratios, much better box than the other models ones. +1 on the rear brakes mine has been in twice about it!

just because the power curve drops doesnt mean you should change...

turn the blowers off for the first few minutes and let the coolant get a temperature before you turn them on

cheap pish, only worthwhile upgrade is the 182 one

i like the box in the dci 106

good old cliosport at its best, unless you pay £299 and the guy throws in a cambelt change for it you have been ripped off :boring:

welcome to mk3 dci ownership!! big heavy buses! i get 48mpg every day in mine but i spend the majority of my day on the wrong side of the road, doing the same driving in my dci100 even when remapped i was getting 55mpg, ive never driven one of the newer 86 ones, but the 106 is a cracking engine...

i got a fixed penalty £40 for it too, i got caught after 11 months lol, just because i couldnt be arsed changing a handbrake cable on my dci100

finally all sorted today thank god, after 4 visits the car is running/looking/sounding the way it went in! lol

LOL!! i cant imagine how long or big a hill that took as my remapped 100 with twice the power wouldnt do over 125mph and my dci65 wouldnt do much over 100

im in germany regularly mate, i wouldnt dream of doing they sort of speeds on UK roads!

im bored of fast cars too, i always said id never get like this because the difference in running cost between my 1.2 and 172 wasnt that different, then i got a DCi and the difference was massive, massive enough that my un refined, 172 with no toys that is quick has too many trade offs compaired...

i never used to rate them but these days i usually recomend dell, well built, generally very quiet and nice and reliable

Lenovo all the way, my daily machine i use on the move/at work etc is a little 12.5" Thinkpad X220 with an i7 2.7GHz and 8GB of ram, i only use it for web etc but went overkill lol my sister is a disaster brakes everything so bought her an old 2nd hand Thinkpad T41, stuck a few upgrades in it...

spark plug 3 blown out? lol how can a garage have quoted you to repair over the phone without even looking?

i beleive around 2005 non sport clios moved to 1yr or 12k but then at some point they then put them back to 2yrs or 18k. my 2010 dci is 2yrs/18k

my ph1 had its cambelt kit changed but only an aux belt, not a kit, tensioners and idlers were 11yr old when i removed them as they were grinding lol

when i first start the 172 and start driving its like a bloddy kangaroo! its running an RStuner group N map and never used to do it so i recon its something sensor related however i no longer have my RSTuner to do a fault code read on it! are the cheapo £30 readers any good to check for most...

mine had never been done on my DCi65 @ 160,000 miles/8yrs and it looked new too lol
