Re: My PH1 172
Cheers mate, bloody things.
I was thinking about doing that mod but my anal stupid side wouldn't let me...
The Prima mounts are expensive for what they are, just hope it does the job.
I bought a standard rear mount from GSF which is not that old but its already allowing my...
:o
I have driven it and it is now dirty....
The DS2500 brake pads have made my wheels black so the old girl needs a good going over again (i enjoy it tbh)
PH1s are epic...
Because there is no compression ie the valves would be stuck open when they should be shut.
Yes there would be piston resistance but no where near as much on a compression stroke.

Re: My PH1 172
Well these arrived in the post on Thursday, KTR engine mounts and a Prima Racing rear exhaust mount.
Ill be hoping to fit the exhaust mount over the weekend but the engine mounts will have to wait as i want to send away any parts that i remove from the engine bay to be powder...
Im on my 2nd set of Standard engine mounts and i also have to polly dog bone, i`m fed up with the engine knocking so i have just bought the KTR up rated set (not fitted yet)
My car is not my daily though but i here that the KTR mounts are not to bad, i got my last set of standard engine mounts...
Spot on mate, i fitted the outer ones for the same reason as you but i just had cable ties on the inner until i saw spats of grease so i now have jubilee clips on them to.
Although i might replace them both with the factory look clips as i like things looking right.
I think my outer ones are 110mm, i think they where a little to long once done up so i marked them took them off, trimed them down and re-fitted
Scott.
Well last night i ordered a rear exhaust mount from Prima Racing and im just about to order the engine mount kit from KTR and maybe a de-cat (might put up a wanted post for that) and if i dont like it then i can sell it on with not alot of ££££ lost :D
Going to keep it mate, the Fiesta needs...
Cheers mate, i have the PH1 arms with Powerflex bushes and ive had them powder coated so i wont be changing them anytime soon.
Car drives nice, 14 clicks on the front and 12 on the rear.....Im happy. :)
Hi mate yes it went well tbh, i got them to check the ride height which was fine so no adjustment needed there.
They set the camber at 1 deg - which tbh will be ok as i dont do trackdays and theres only so fast you can drive it on the road, even when i do go for a blast im always worried about...
Cheers, to late now i think as its booked in for 8.30.
Ill have to get them to set the front at -1.5 and see where the other settings go, the company are a motorsport set up so they should be fine i just wanted to have some info in case i needed to point them in the right direction.
^ Good stuff, we had an Aston racer that sucked up a bolt made a right old mess...:(
And a Austin Healey 3000 that sucked in part of its weber carb and jammed the thottle open.
