Painted my inlets the other day as part of starting to tidy up the engine bay.
Here's the inlets before, bit grubby looking :dead:
Cleaned with AG Engine Cleaner, wet sanded then prepared for painting with thinners.
Masked up inlet and tb ready for painting
First coats of Halfords...
Think the sound deadening must have been disolved by oil collecting on it thats leaked from the rocker cover. Washed off about 3 litres worth before taking the pics!
Knowsit, I learnt from the best Fletch :hail:
Phoned up Blackbushe Motors but it's not something they keep in stock. Why don't you get down the scrappy yourself and get a Cup splitter? :rasp:
My car is quite low so leaving it on for protection.
Must be very expensive plastic they use...
Everyone I know who have used T1Rs say they are rubbish in the wet and wear quickly. As suggested in the thread I'd get either the Goodyears or Hankooks. The Eagle F1s wear really well I'm still couple of mm above the wear markers after 8k and two trackdays.
The underneath of my Monaco got caught today driving through a car wash (wasn't using it I'd parked round back of the garage and used it as quickest way out :o). Reversed back out but it ripped the sump guard off and cracked it :(.
Thankfully no damage to the sump but the guard was a state...
So this is why you couldn't take my booking ;)
Looks awesome shame I'm not going to FCS. The winner better not have their coilovers too low with that in the boot!
No way will you pass the noise test without a backbox. When mine fell off it was stupidly loud just driving 50 miles down to Ktec to get a stealth fitted. Don't know how you've done 250 miles you must be deaf by now!
