It depends A LOT on the type on driving you do... I used to average 28mpg in my M3. When I had a MCS for a week it averaged 37mpg. Doing the same run I get 43mpg out of the other halfs 172. (500 miles a week, mix of town, B roads, A roads and some motorway work) If you spend your life in town...

How the hell has it got into that state? Why are you sending it for a rebuild? No more adjustment in the shims or has it dropped a valve? Who is doing the build? Dom at Str8Six? Also get the shims on top of the rear struts checked, they are only about £8 each but they get over looked all the time.

As above. It's an rounded Allan bolt. It's recessed about 50mm So far I've tried a torx bit hammered into it but all I do is round it off more! It's pissing me off now!
