Yeah it's the space thats stopping me getting at it. You can't get a drill in as the chuck gets in the way.
I'm going to buy some cheaper (softer) torx bits tomorrow to see if I can get one to mash into it. It seems too hard to chisel into but I'll buy a finer chisel and try that.
I can't use a welder as it'll bugger the magnesium head and with the room I have I'll probably tack it to the coolant pipe.
Looks like a tw*t to get in at,if the torx bit doesn't work a set of these could be your friend http://www.auntiesatticonline.co.uk...th-reverse-thread-8---16mm-ber2501-1169-p.asp. Basically a more substantial easy out which is a good thing as if you try a normal easy out and snap it then the job is pretty much goosed as they are made from hard as f**k type hard stuff!
Have you tried shocking it with a soft drift and a hammer? Also worth applying some penetrating oil and leaving for a while. Any type of screw driver approch won't work as the bolt will be far too tight, hence rounding off in the first place. Good luck!
