I wanted a Cooper S before I got my 172. Loved the whine from supercharger only reason I didn't get one was because of the ridiculously small boot and only having four seats. Sounds like a bargain for £5k though.

I've driven both cars on track and didn't like the 250 because it suffered from horrible turbo lag, felt like a car it's size, and had intrusive esp. It was quite nice to sit inside though but the 200 was much more fun to drive whereas the 250 felt like a chore.

Don't need to worry about bearings as they come pressed into discs if you buy oem.

It's either the tracking or tyre pressures. They've probably settled since they were setup up and that has thrown the tracking out.

The monaco blue paint I got from Halfords was quite a good match when I did my bullets. If your doing a body panel though you need to blend it into old paint else it won't look right.

Drop a 172 engine into it. Seriously though don't waste your money start saving for your next car.

Engine bay on your old 182 was fantastic. Really like the engine cover, nice to see something different.

Sorry for thread hijack. My belts were done in Nov 2007 so am I right in thinking the aux belt will need doing again by Nov 2010 (done about 22k since).

Looks like it should be a good meet.
