The ph1 does not have the Rs lower inlet, so he thought it better to start with one of those as there are about 4mm bigger to start with.
Yes going to open up the lower all of the way through to match the head and then do the upper as well, he does not offer "off the shelf" inlets but i think...
I have a ph1 172 which have the more restricted inlets, Ben @ Angelworks is doing mine and is replacing the lower inlet with a RS item but he is still going to open that up along with the upper.
Should get about 5-8 bhp i have been told with a re-map i think, but the car should be better in the...
No mate, the seals fit just below the chamfer or leading edge which is machined into the head. If they where pushed in to far then they might not pick up on the edge of the sprocket.
I think on the inlet side there are oil holes drilled in the head, if the seal is in to far then these could...
Did you fit the seal just under flush from the head face? They can be pushed in to far i think also if the seal was to be fitted the wrong way round the oil pressure will lift the seal lip away from the sprocket instead of pushing it down to make the seal.
But having said all of this i bet the...
The coil could just be one of those things tbh, the seals could i guess be fitted wrong but if you have fitted new cams and cam belt kit then i guess you are no fool.
The seals should be fitted with the flat face facing to you and the lip facing inwards.
Where did the seals come from, was it...
Well although its only done 45k sitting outside has done it no favours, so 1st i need to do the inner and outter sills on the drivers side and 2 new front wings as they have rusted at the bottoms. Once the shell is "rust free" i can then move onto the other bits.
The trim is already out and i...
No no no, paint the base coat on and leave it to "flash" off for about 5 mins then paint the clear coat over the top. Once dry then flat and polish.
If you leave the 1st coat (base) to long and it drys the clear coat will not have a key to grip onto this will also cause problems.
Great project funny thing is i have just got a F reg XR2 as well, It was my car about 6 ish years ago untill my little boy was born.
I ended up selling it to a good mate of mine who drove it for about 2 years untill it broken into, after that it just sat. About 3 weeks ago he asked me to look...
I saw this last night and was thinking i should have waited before buying mine but mines done 40k now and is very nice with loads of paper work and only 2 non smoking owners.
After reading this i am very happy i bought mine...:D
Thats because they are not there you will just see the shock, stick your head under from the back of the car the springs sit in ward a little.
Where abouts are you?
If the intercooler is alloy then i would guess that the VHT will not take to it as the cooler will not get hot enough for the VHT to work as it should.
It may also start flake off as it is for exhaust, so what you need to do is rub a scotch bright over it to give it a "key" and then put 2 light...
I worked on Porsches in a bodyshop we had a customer who did a track day/weekend at Spa he also crashed but once he got the car back to the uk he told the insurance company he crashed in a country lane.
They payed out the 15k repair bill on his 964 RS.
If its the Apex you are on about then no they are crap, just buy the sportlines but get then from here http://www.kamracing.co.uk/index.php/renault/renault-clio-mk2.html?cat=565
Both cam and the crank pullie "free wheel" when un-done, the only plastic pullies are the two idlers and the adjuster i think.
On the aux side of things the only plastic pullie is the tensioner the rest are steel, pas pump, water pump, alternator, crank damper and even the idler that sits at the...
I have used both the Goodridge and the HEL lines which i fitted a set to my mates Scooby, i phoned them up and placed the order they asked what colour hose cover i wanted (mate wanted green) which turned out to be lime green.
All of the hose fittings where stainless steel and also the banjo...
Welcome to CS but i think you are in the wrong section, you should put a post in the "New to Cliosport" bit.
I am in Essex but i am doing some mods to my car at the mo.
I have just taken my manifold out after thinking it looked cracked, did it on the floor but i also have the inlets off and the front end as i have just dont my cam belt and aux belt kit.
Got the wife to hold the bolts while i was under the car doing the nuts up.
Yes i have the same problem most of the time buying s/hand, fixing clips would be broken or the lenzes would be cracked and all to save a few quid....lol
cheers bigup7 i will give him a message..
