lol sure did was around 147mph on dials no idea what that was real speed, that was a ph2, ph1 is geared to long and has a raised limiter so wont do it unless i get more power lol
u running pr1.1 firmware on it? mine has been spot on since buying it in December
ive heard of a few people having issues if its on an operator with their custom firmware but im using a genuine nokia one. maby worth getting it unlocked and reflashed if thats the case
as above was sitting in the 40 limit roadworks and realised there was an N plate mk1 infront of me and thought ive not saw a mk1 in ages on the road! then when i was overtaking it realised it was a williams!
typical cs though she knows she was too close or to fast or what ever the reason was that caused it, but you always get some muppet rubbing it in, as she said she was calling him a w**k because he was trying to claim he had been hit when he hadnt!
Correct.
I hate diesel too hence why i drive a fast petrol, because lets face it, no one wants to drive a gutless slow underpowered petrol engine in a heavy car. i can cruise along on a big wave of torque nice and cumfy getting massive mpg, then when i want something fun to drive i take out...
i done this a few years back too and it obviously wasnt as good but you get used to it, my mrs has a Cabasse setup in her 1.6 16v and its much better than the standard unit, id get one of them if your going standard
ph1 has bigger inlet valves and has a cable throttle body, id imagine you could use the fly by wire body on it but not sure if you would need the ph2 inlet manifold too, not sure if there is any other differences, but you can run them anyway i know a few doing it
i wouldnt bother fiddling to much with them, if it was mine id be looking at EGR removal and a remap, not sure how good the intercoolers are on the 85., if its easy enough to swap the 106 turbo id go for that but not sure if its more complicated being variable geometry
as standard just with...
good idea id stick the turbo and manifold on your current engine assuming it fits and go about it that way rather than swaping engines, i bet the n/a engine would be fine!
i know dude, im just saying all your mates with imprezas are telling you you will spend all your time fixing it, it will be more reliable than their cars! i know from first hand experiance as my mates all drive jap too!
supersprint make an exhaust manifold for it, this with a decat and exhaust system will give a small gain, pannel filter in your airbox, stick a ph1 airbox on it if theres room, biggest gain will come from a remap, but really as above wouldnt bother.
could probably use a 1.6 16v K4M bottom end...
