that is impressive results from a spray can! you have skills! car looks good too i like the colour combo just dont go overboard and start doing wing mirrors and badges in yellow or i recon it will become too much
belts needing changed is the only expensive service item you will come across compaired to your average non turbo car! they are pretty cheap to run, spark plugs are around £50 but only need done every (cant remember think its 3yrs or something, they last for ages)
gearbox failures on cars that...
Re: My Clio Mk3 1.2 172 Replica
wouldnt bother with the headlights, if you cant afford RS ones id just clean up your ones like the car above so they look nice as they all look cloudy these days on most cars.
needs wide track or spacers on the front and lowered and some tyre gel and it will...
expression likely, but why would you want the lowest trim level? Dynamique is the one to go for wouldnt bother with any others unless you fancy an Initiale but you will need to go 5 door lol
of course if you prefer the ph1 then no point in getting a ph2 just your getting a much nicer interior and newer car in ph2 form for the same or less money as there is more about.
ive had a few mk2 clio DCi's and currently got a new mk3 one, i do about 300 miles a week so dont really need a diesel but i dont like putting 300 miles a week onto my ph1, i wanted something brand new, reliable, cumfy, quiet with loads of toys so thats why i got the dci, being a fully specced...
the 1.2 16v is fine, their isnt a great deal of difference between that and the 1.4 16v, not worth paying big insurance difference over anyway. avoid the 1.2 8v tho.
as above had both and they are not worth changing, if you do a search i looked into this a few years back and had some good threads with info but then i drove one and realised it was a stupid idea as it was the same cost and work to convert to 2.0 16v
bet that wont have been cheap!
i done dampers all round, springs all round both track rods, track rod ends, both bottom arms both ball joints, both top mounts, both driveshafts and all ARB bushes on my old ph2 172 and had John @ progrip set it up and it was the best money i spent on the car...
ph1 all the way!
no point in you getting a 182, if your going ph2 just go 172.
ur budget would get you a ph1, refresh everything up front and a jms inlet. done!
im guessing going by his post its a mk3 ph1, that sounds about right they are very heavy and not very economical engines around town if your doing motorway driving it should be a good bit higher tho
for future reference, if you stick a wee bit of water around the injectors you will see what ones are leaking, quite a common problem at least its a cheap fix!
extreme 4 had the same styling kit as a dynamique but was colour coded.
it had the same shape sports seats but horrible green colour that stain easily. didnt have the fancy dynamique head rests
the rear seats were cheaper looking with no head rests.
no auto wipers or auto lights, no...
