i went from a 1.4 to a valver...i am also a student and commute to uni....the valver doesn't cost that much more in petrol than my rt did..obviously the insurance is a bit more as is Tax... but touch wood its been fine..i got one with a full service history and then got a mechanic to check it...

everybody seems to like the 225 wheels on the valver...and rightfully so its bloody gorgeous....will have to get the angle grinder out to fit them on and a hub conversion

not to bad a job..has quite a few swirl marks which i have to sort out..... na decided to not put tyre dressing on as it wouldn't show that much in this weather anyway i usually use turtle wax tyre gel though
