lol my mate used to have an ek9 and it was fast but my old 172 was quicker, over 80mph the 172 used to pull a considerable amount
i recon my standard 172 is quicker than one, not by much however
nope nothing to worry about, is it a black 53 plate by any chance? if so i may know the car (however loads have been helicoiled, just by the off chance!)
spark plugs have a long service life on these cars, cant remember exactly what it is, but make sure you use the standard plugs, they are expensive, but the engine runs much better with them. they are NGK PFR6E-10
non start will likely be the TDC (crankshaft sensor) on top of the gearbox, you can usually remove them, clean them and refit and that works, but sometimes they need replaced.
shaking, do you mean a gentle shaking, not a violent one? the cars have a lumpy idle as standard so they do "shake"...
lime green samco is coming from a supplyer on ebay, been ordered nearly a month now though!
might get a footrest im not sure what im doing with it yet, i had originally planned to go all out strip it buckets and harnesses but i really like it the way it is so am really just tidying it up so...
my last 172 the 190bhp one used a slight bit but not enough even to require a top up between its yearly service (5/6k miles) my current standard one doesnt use a drop so far!
the diesel batters most of its oil thru the turbo and into the engine lol need the turbo rebuilt!
awesome, im sure it will be succesful, and i look forward to a ph1 setup :D
if you do a custom fastchip calabration for this, that would be awesome so us guys who choose to do the fitting ourself dont have to travel for mapping
