Never tried PE2s but agree that F1s are really good in the wet and for 20 quid a corner less than PE2s I'm happy. I really liked my Conti's but they seemed to wear very quickly with the fronts lasting under 6000 miles.

Yep they're a right b**ch! Wait till you get to the torx screw you'll need an electric screwdriver with a torx bit to get it to budge.

If they've never been taken out the two bolts for isofix bar will be rusty as they are exposed underneath the car. Soak them in WD40 and leave over night, then you can undo them using a ratchet. When the isofix bar is off there is one torx screw for back seats which again might be rusty.

Wasn't turning over at all last night but started first time when I tried it at lunchtime and been fine since.

Don't think its battery related looked through the window and it's still green. Think there may have been a clicking. Apart from last night mine usually starts perfectly. What was yours like?

The car was misfiring couple of weeks ago until the plugs were changed so don't know if that's related. Also the speedo sometimes jumps up and down when accelerating. Car is outside my mates house so I'll have to try the battery in morning.

I looked through old for sale threads and a few have been put up at 300 and sold very quickly. Obviously don't know exactly what they went for but must be close to it.

I'd buy it for £170, put it on car for few months and then sell it for ~£300 on here.

Take it back won't take long to fix. That'd piss me right off!

Re: maxygen or not? Yes, sound good and they sell for more on here if you ever want to sell.

Don't expect your dampers to last long.

I've got Goodyears on my 172 seem quite a good all round tyre, and lot less wear than my old Conti Sport 3s. Haven't tried the other tyres so can't comment.
