Doesn't really mean much, if you look after your car it should pass an MOT. I always check my car thoroughly for problems before I even book an MOT.

Won't be fixed today, its getting taken to a garage and they won't get a starter in till tomorrow. AA came out at 11am, diagnosed the starter, then he got stuck as well else he would have towed me!

Only brightside is it happened 5 minutes walk from home. Just had a call from AA they say the recovery vehicle will be here at 2.30.

Got stuck on a big patch of snow/ice due to the bumper catching (obviously too low :o), engine stalled, went to start it and....................nothing :mad: Starter motor is fried so waiting for an AA recovery vehicle now :dapprove: Just to clear up I haven't rolled it, thanks again for PM Pete.

Rolled it. And now the starter motor isn't working :dapprove:;)

If they polish up ok I wouldn't worry, maybe worth just getting a smart repair person to do the worst one on the bonnet.

Not worth spending £700 unless your keeping the car.

He hasn't said he's got fitted on the back. A 172 tends to understeer not oversteer anyway so what's on back wouldn't be an issue IMO.

Car looks very good. Is adding cruise control only possible because it was an option?

I'd get Conti Sport Contact 3 or Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3. Contis are better in snow but Goodyears are better in all other conditions.

I would buy them as well, bet they're expensive!
