the cam changes timing at 1400rpm @ 800mb map. iirc it advances the cam timing by 16degrees(dont quote me for certainty on this figure)

thats the only reason its left that late, to give a kick. get an actuator and change it to 3krpm, this is proven to be the best place for the cam change over.

my 172 changes engine note at 5200rpm.

one of the anagrams you havent got is engine mount.

Check the swith on the brake pedal, its adjustable, so you need to wind it in a tad more to break the circuit.

it sounds more like coil pack, as if the crank sensor was causing it, it wouldnt be firing injectors.
