the waste gate is operated by an actuator which operates on boost pressure AND vacuum, so on deaccelaration the waste gate is opened, not as much as when set boost is achieved, but i also sisnt say that it completly bypasses the turbo, otherwise that would contradict what i said about the turbo...
he could have saved that,he deaccelarated on the corner, causing the back to slip out, he then braked, he should have nailed that throttle to pull it out of that skid, and he would have atleast avoided the gravel.
its not to my taste tbh, but it does look nice, just i wouldnt have it. Can you take pictures of the underneath of the bonnet where the bad boy has been welded on?
Donsrno1: thrust bearing is what pushes against the diaphram of thew clutch, as the clutch is spinning with the engine it needs to be able to spin itself. They are cheap enough, but the gearbox has to come off to do it.
the turbo will never stall. Dont forget that it is spinning at 20,000+ rpm on tick over. And jsut because the throttle is closed, doesnt mean that the turbo stops, the exhaust gasses will still be going out, thus still spinning the fan. The only time a turbo stalls is when the exhausr gases do...
also a 4-2-1 manifold and cams DONT gain 20 odd bhp. i do hope your not one of these peope who see 5bhp gain on the side of a k+n box, and think oo my 172 is now 177.
gotto admit tho, if hes not going to keep his eye on the car whilst its bouncing off the limiter doughnuting around him, he should be a little more carful, i wont say he deserved to die, beacuse noone does, but as i said he should have kept his eye on the car, not impressing the crowd, and...
exaltos have a crap compound, they go too hard too quickly, toyos stick to the road like to a blanket, before i lowered my 172 i'd get the inner rear wheel lifting before it understeered!
