considering selling it but i would miss the low down torque, so thot about a diesel but then would miss the noise of a high reving engine! and would also miss the nice heavy steering on the 172 the coilovers wern't crashy when they were set soft, i just prefered the sharpness of the steering...

will have an opening in the middle, but still filter'd so not to much of a problem, heat soak not a mega problem on an intercooler'd car tho, although the lower the intake temp at the filter the lower the intercooler can cool!

similar problem, totally different engine, my old 1.2 done this was a blocked breather pipe (although they all have some oil in the inlet manifold.)

if your cambelt was slipping you'd know about it lol will be aux belt mine done it on my old engine, just replace it yourself its a cheap and easy fix

yep dont like the 172 its pish lol load of money for something that gives me half the fun! the 1.2 will flip on its roof before the tyres let go! dont get me wrong if i had the coilovers, polly bushes, and tiny wheels on the 172 it would be an animal but i just find it to sensible and boring...

i do lol im attached to it, as nice and as fast as the 172 is the looks you get when driving a car that low is awesome and its 10x more fun down a backroad than the 172 because your arse is so close to the ground lol, and well 15" wheels, no more said lol just need to get some more power from...

lol they monster truck tyres were 195/50's too was just because it was so low with tiny wheels! on the right road it out handles my 172 (standard dampers, eibach sportlines, eagle F1s) but on a bumpy road it bump skiped all over the road lol it already has a decat on it lol just a home made...

ph2 dynamique wheels look the s**t, i went thru loads of different sets inc turinis before i finally settled for the dynamique ones...

extreme depends on the model and year as to what it has and doesnt have, dynamique has all the toys auto wipers, lights, cd player as standard (after a certain point, they were tape players to start) both extreme and dynamique have sports seats, dynamique has nicer ones tho and has the fancy...

i bought my 1.2 16v engine for £150 with 50k on the clock (verified) as i heard it running etc before i removed it, needed a service but runs sweet as f**k now that its been well serviced. id stick a 16v in it pal, its worth the extra bit of hastle.

lol once i got used to the 172 when i drive it it feels just as fast (or should i say slow) as the 1.2, its weird. thing is you get bored of a fast car quite quick but you never get bored of a good handling car!

made it myself, cut old cat open smashed internals out then welded it back up. ali, yeah there slow as s**t, but i never had any money issues when i had it so thinking about puting up with it again haha

i done it on my 1.2, cut it open took everything out then welded it back up, worked fine but that was only because no 1 made a decat for them lol

that was before the decat too lol used to rasp and pop a bit more with that

it doesnt have a sunroof, lucky boy. i had an expression which was similar but only a 16v over an 8v and a couple of other goodies, i converted it to full dynamique spec, was fun but silly lol. if i was you all id do is, dynamique alloys, spoiler, eather dynamique interior or 172 interior...

my first engine used to end up soaking oil up into the filter, my second one wasnt as bad but still had some. perfectly normal.

not sure if the other models are the same but on the 1.2 16v you MUST do the waterpump!! mine was done just over a year before i got it, (and about 20k miles) and it snapped due to the waterpump bearing seasing up (had been leaking for ages!) worst part was i was in the middle of a 2 car...
